Sorry to get your hopes up on the entertainment attorney. I have been trying to find an attorney since I moved back to California in 2000. I have not found one single attorney that can do what I need or even one part of the many things I need done.
Kathleen Kennedy asked for a copy of my screenplay, Coyote In A Graveyard.
I need to rewrite my entertainment contracts for Shaolin Records, Shaolin Pictures, Shaolin Film, Shaolin Music, and Shaoin Chi Mantis.
I need an attorney for the nonprofit education organization for troubled youths, Tai Chi Youth.
I need an attorney to keep me out of trouble with Freemasons as I divulge some information about the "Masonic Kung Fu," Form I discovered from the 1930s when the Japanese invaded China.
I need an attorney to handle my international relations with China and the subsequent book, and movie contracts associated with my Masonic Kung Fu movie, that I want to co-produce.
I need an attorney for any custody issues that may develop since my exwife took my son to live with her father in Georgia.
I need an attorney for my performance contracts and touring.
I need an attorney who is my friend, otherwise I will need at least six hired guns.
Most important to me in a business relationship is also having a trusting and friendly relationship with someone. I realize that no single attorney can be an expert in entertainment law, nonprofit law, business law, and family legal issues...or is it possible that a renassance man like me needs a renaissance attorney.
Keep your eyes open for me. Let's make that our test for my attorney: he needs to be a renaissance man attorney. That would explain why he's so hard to find. This last attorney I've been talking to, despite the referral from the highest ranking Mason in California, said that, "We're all very specialized now. Each attorney specialises in one thing." Even though he was an "entertainment lawyer," he said that he couldn't possibly represent my screenplay because he was not in the movie business. He was in the "record business," but I didn't get to find out what his specialty was. He finally admitted that he didn't know how to help me.
The entertainment business is famous for having people take advantage of each other by placating and saying what they want to hear. They were called, "sharks," before I moved to Los Angeles. "Beware the sharks," somehow echoed in my mind. Just like the "religious sharks" of American Zen's LEVEL 2 in Zen Buddhism, these "entertainment sharks" prey on people's dreams and ambitions, diverting them into their own selfish corral. Same in the Level 2 world of religion where these same kind of sharks lure people with promises and bind them with fear.
I guess we call them spiders sometimes, if they work by trapping or entrapment. Contracts are a blessing not a curse. A contract is an agreement of how two or more people are going to interact. That's it. Since people's memories fade and motivations change with the seasons, the only way to keep people on the same road is to put up road signs, directions, and warnings. Same with LEVEL 2 religions, they can help people behave better and obey rules they would otherwise ignore.
When people follow these contractual road signs everything works as good as possible. Most of the problems I have seen in this world are the result of people not following instructions, or being given bad instructions. Same with the LEVEL 2 religions: if you obey their rules you get along with other people better...unless you're given bad instructions.
Sun Tzu has a valuable lesson about leaders giving instructions.
"Kill The Spider," was an interesting case of following instructions. Once I had relearned this song back in 2003, I formulated in my mind the sound of this song. One of the reasons this song came out so excellent is that I was striving to create that sound in my memory for this song. I got close. That's why I teach my students to strive for perfection. You can't lose. By trying to be perfect, you will improve yourself. Whether you get all the way to perfection is irrelevant. You improved and got closer to perfection. That's winning.
The song "Kill The Spider" has four bass guitars on it. I recorded two basses and put one in each speaker. I don't recall right now which came first, but I played two FUZZ BASS tracks and put those in each speaker also. I will be selling "SUBMIXES of Kill The Spider" soon. I've made the special mixes, and MP3 demos. These sound so amazing, these individual tracks in unique combinations. These special mixes could be television and movie tracks. Fans can create unique music mixes and videos with these submixes.
Shaolin Music is probably the first to ever offer submixes for sale on the internet. On some of the songs of LEVEL 4 PART 1, we had so many submixes that we created SUBMIX ALBUMS. We'll reveal all this soon.
