From Funeral Memorial to Memorial University
September 1, was the memorial for Philip Persons, father of the Coyote In A Graveyard rock opera bass roadie of The Coyote, Sam Persons.
"I had to call Sam on Saturday morning," pants Coyote, "because I didn't have enough money to buy a round-trip of gas for my Toyota Tacoma from San Diego to Beverly Hills where Sam's father was having a funeral memorial. Sam had already arrived in Los Angeles from Nashville and said,"If you can get here I can help you with gas money to get home." I thanked him, but that didn't sound cool to me. So I wished him my condolensces and said goodbye."
However, when Coyote opened up his Wells Fargo bank account on the internet, he noticed his next Tuesday Rhino paycheck had arrived early. (Probably due to the Monday Labor Day Holiday.)
So Coyote called Sam back, "I got paid early, I can make the Memorial."
"It seems I arrived right on time," said Coyote to Sam after the Memorial. "By getting here fifteen minutes late, I arrived when your dad's first wife arrived and was able to help her find the Memorial."
Philip Person's first wife took a shine to Coyote and asked him many piercing questions while looking him directly in the eyes. "She was very intense, but really look deeply within me. I'm not used to that, but wish that more people would put more effort into looking into each other's hearts, minds and souls."
She asked Coyote, "What made you into a cow poke?"
Coyote answered her questions as they went back through his family lineage of prospectors, California frontier pioneers.
"You are their dreams," she told Coyote.
Coyote got goosebumps up his spine.

Coyote's Casino
When our Hippy Coyote was in Las Vegas he drafted the design and blueprints for a brand new type of casino that was somehow beneficial to those who attended it. Yes, that does sound weird but Coyote figured out a way to do it.
"This casino will attract more people from all over the world than any other casino ever built. You'll see."
But maybe you won't see. Since Coyote's return to San Diego, he has taken another look at the principles of gambling. His father has been gambling for recreation all his life, mostly with Coyote's "Uncle Bill," who was a professional gambler and toured the country.
"Nobody could beat him at low ball," Coyote's dad proudly states. "But Texas Hold-em was what destroyed him. It's more risk than skill."
So Coyote's been seeing gambling from his family perspectives this past couple months he's been living with his father who still purchases Lotto tickets on a regular basis.
"That's the only reason I'd build or help someone build that casino I designed," informs Coyote. "It really has some health benefits, and ways of helping people not lose excessively."
Once again, sounds crazy doesn't it? But that would be another selling point. "Coyote Casino: The casino that takes care of you.™"

NEW ALBUM RELEASE: The Rich: Live in Venice
One of my favorite albums is this live record. There are two live performances by The Rich that were saved from these years in Venice Beach, California. Recorded about a month apart at the end of 1979, and the beginning of 1980 in their Venice rehearsal home on Broadway Avenue.
Check out KungFuCowboy.com to see if the free samples are there.
We've just started a new policy at the KungFuCowboy.com website, so that older webpages will be archived at the KungFuCowboy.com website. Look for the links in the left side menu.
The Rich (1979-1980 version of rock band, The Rich)
Richard Del Connor, The Raunch (The Hippy Coyote): Rickenbacker 4000 bass, two Plush 4000-G bass amps with Plush 15" folded-reflex horn cabinet and two 4-12 Plush speaker cabinets with Celestians in stereo, Cerwin-Vega vocals
Bill Stewart, The Basher: Ludwig custom-made 8-ply birch drums with 28" kick, Paiste Cymbals (vocal on "All The Time")
Vincent Lauria, Vincenzo: Rickenbacker 360-12 electric guitar, electric guitar, two Marshall 50-watt Mk II amplifiers in stereo
The Rich in 1980 and 1981 were the tightest power pop trio in Los Angeles. Performing all local venues that allowed or featured punk and new wave music: The Londoner, Madame Wong's East, The Masque...
Similar to The Jam, The Beatles, and The Clash, this band lived together in the barrio of Venice Beach, California, on Broadway Ave. Rehearsals in their boarded windowed house were attended by dozens of neighborhood Latinos and V-13 gang members who hung out on the sidewalk, or across the street (where The Rich were still easy to hear). The band members, guests, and groupies had to wait for the crowd to clear before exiting their Spanish stucco home.
Several members came and went and came back again between The Rich arriving in Los Angeles in 1978 and these 1980 recordings. The original band lineup living in the white stucco Spanish house was Fred Paul on drums and lead vocals, Dann Link on electric guitar and backup vocal, with Richard Del Connor fronting the band on Rickenbacker bass and lead vocals. This song, "Damn The Man," was later sung as "Halloween" and will probably be released as a cool Halloween song in the near future.
All songs of The Rich - Live In Venice album were written by Richard Del Connor, The Hippy Coyote except "All The Time" cowritten by Bill Stewart and Richard Connor, "Don't Be Sad" cowrtten by Vinnie Lauria and Richard Connor, and "Take What You Can" cowritten by Richard Del Connor, Vincent Lauria, and William Stewart.
The bonus song at the end of The Rich - Live In Venice album, "The Reason Why," includes Don Carone on guitar, Bill Stewart drums, Dann Link guitar, Richard Del Connor Ricky bass and lead vocals. This was recorded at Crimson Sound in Santa Monica, California after Richard Connor built their producer console on their Neve control board. Hank Cicalo of Frank Sinatra and The Monkees engineered these recording sessions at Crimson Sound. (Song by RDC)
The bonus song, "Billy Boy," is Richard Connor on bass and lead vocals, Vincent Lauria on electric guitar, and Richard Augustine of San Diego on drums. Richard had moved in with Rita Wolf, the girl on the album cover of the Temptation EP by Richard O'Connor and The Rich released in 1984 on the newly founded Shaolin Records independent record label. Richard's moving in with Rita broke up the punk rock version of The Rich which mutated into a much larger band including Mike Thomson on keys and trombone, Mitch Thomson on electric piano and vibraphone, Manny dela Vega on conga and percussion, a blonde drummer, Jack John Sherman of The Red Hot Chili Peppers on guitar (borrowing Coyote's Marshall Mk. II amplifier), and Jason Scheff of the Chicago rock band. (Song by RDC)
The Rich Live In Venice album represents an aggressive pop rock band in a turbulent period of the Los Angeles music scene. Blending their punk rock enthusiasm with the melodic songwriting of Richard Del Connor, The Rich were as Dann Link said, "The Rich are rich in quality." Each band member strove to attain the highest levels of the musicianship skills. Check out Richard's bass playing while he sings, "Feel This Way." Check out Vinnie's guitaring on "Don't Be Sad." Check out Basher's drumming on "On The Street." Check out this band, The Rich, that Capitol Records should have given a record deal to when they signed The Knack.
Too pretty to be punk and too punky to be pop. Power Pop Punk Trio: The Rich.

Webpage About Masonic Kung Fu
I'd appreciate some more reviews about this Masonic Kung Fu book.
Whether your review is positive or negative, I'll send you a, "Thank you," gift of any other book you choose from Shaolin Communications.
Lately, there has been some tension between Japan and China. Some of the Chinese resentment can be understood by reading this Masonic Kung Fu - Book 1. Even though hardly any of the current Chinese protestors were alive during the 1937 and 1938 Japanese occupation of China, this anomosity has somehow been passed from generation to generation similar to the Jewish Holocaust resentments being passed down from generation to generation.
All Americans should understand this battle, enslavement, and genocide, that occurred prior to WW II and continued until a couple years after WW II was over.
