Bass Tracks NOT Completed on I WANT YOU TO LOVE ME

Half the album came out fine. The other half had a couple songs that Tom Calder, bassist, needed to practice more and a few that just didn’t sound right with those old flatwound bass strings. Check out the COYOTE POETRY PODCAST for some basic tracks of American Zen’s new album. Coyote also played some on his AMERICAN ZEN BUDDHIST ROCK PODCAST. Check them out. This new album is going to be amazing.

We’ve replaced the 1957 Rickenbacker 4000 bass strings with GHS Flatwounds. Tom Calder is scheduled to record this Thursday at Shaolin Records. Then, the bass tracks will be done.

Coyote said he was going to the Utah Phase 1 book after completing the seven poems at the LEVEL 1 website.

But he didn’t. He’s reading poetry from the LEVEL 2 website and complaining about another girl dumping him. Poor Coyote. At least he wrote her some really good poetry, and because some of them were in emails, we have copies of them. Fresh, hot, steamy poetry written to be read by a lover.

Some of it is way too graphic, but fortunately, Coyote doesn’t use cuss words anyway, so...

UTAH PHASE 1 Poetry Book Reading

Coyote says he will read the entire UTAH PHASE 1 poetry book in his upcoming podcasts.

This book includes the poetry from both LEVEL 1 = PEACE OF MIND and American Zen’s second album, LEVEL 2 = CHRIST KILLER. Many other unpublished poems are included.

Coyote says this is the last time he’s going to talk about either of the first two albums. If interviewers want to ask questions, this is their last chance. “I’ve moved on,” says Coyote. “It’s already getting hard to defend some of my previous positions on issues because many of my viewpoints have changed in the last few years. If I’m going to talk about these first two albums with any clear memory, it’s gotta be now. I want to talk about my new record...”
