Merry Christmas

Of course they celibrate Christmas. “More than ever,” claims Coyote. “Just cuz you’re a Buddhist doesn’t mean you have to give up traditions.”

Buddhism is very practical like that.

As Master Zhen says, "Buddhism is a religion of common sense."

It's that word "common" I have trouble with...hee-hee.

Merry Christmas everybody.

LEVEL 2 = CHRIST KILLER is about done.

MIXING this album will be a big job.

Then I have to MASTER the album. Even though I have built mastering labs, like Future Disk Systems, I am not a mastering engineer. I'm researching how and what to use.

One of those famous producers offered to help, but I think I'll do better, even if I'm learning HOW to do it as I'm doing it.

Hey! That's confidence.

Partially. Mostly determination. I want to delegate. I'd rather have someone else mix and someone else master this record.

I just want to supervise and direct. That's what a record producer is: he directs the recording like a director directors a movie.

Many of the skills I learned in my Master Directing Classes at UCLA are used in my audio recording producing. Especially when I'm working with other people. I've always viewed musical recordings as "EVENTS" and accordingly the emotions and feelings and intentions are recorded in the event. So directing musicians, can be very similar to directing actors.
