Tujunga, California – December 10, 2006 – American Zen, America's first Buddhist rock band, released their first album in 2005, Level 1 = Peace Of Mind.

We've been adding vocals. We've been adding percussion. We've been adding guitars. This is how I used to record before moving to Utah. My first multi-track recordings were on a Stephens 16-track recorder. I got used to this over the next couple years but ended up getting a gig in a 4-track studio, Bonita Studio, in 1974. So, with an understanding of multi-track I learned to squeeze back down to 4-track. That skill stayed with me and is the secret success in my producing the LEVEL 1 = PEACE OF MIND and LEVEL 2 = CHRIST KILLER albums by American Zen. I recorded them with a 4-track production logic.

LEVEL 2 = CHRIST KILLER is my first chance to expand out of the 4-track world since 1991.
