Coyote’s Masonic Kung Fu NOT PERFORMED at Push Hands Tournament
On February 12, 2009, The Hippy Coyote, whose masonic / legal name is Richard Del Connor, was raised to the sublime degree of 3rd Degree Master Mason. This ceremony took place at the Burbank Masonic Lodge #406.
On June 9, 2009, while practicing his Kung Fu, Coyote, who is also known as, “Buddha Zhen,” to his Tai Chi and Shaolin Kung Fu students, noticed some unusual similarities between the Kung Fu movements of his “Lian Bu,” Kung Fu form, and the symbols and secret hand signs of Freemasonry.
Coyote had been practicing his Freemasonry 3rd Degree Master Mason Proficiency. Although he had received the 3rd Degree, he had not been tested on knowing its requirements. This Master Mason Proficiency is also required of all Master Masons who pursue positions of running the lodge. Now, as a Master Mason, Coyote was able to decode this Kung Fu form which he now claims was created around the symbols and history of Masonry.
Coyote’s recent podcast at COYOTE RADIO .NET tells of who Coyote did perform the Masonic Kung Fu for.
On August 6, 2009, Coyote “got the third degree.” Coyote says he did well and that the Masonic Kung Fu Form was one of his practice aids in preparing for his Master Mason Proficiency test.
The first place winner of the BUDDHA KUNG FU and TAI CHI YOUTH JULY PUSH HANDS TOURNAMENT was David Rush, P.M. of the Beverly Hills Masonic Lodge. The “Kung Fu Panda,” David Rush, will be defending his Push Hands Tournament title along with, 2nd Place: Tony Amarkarian, and 3rd Place: Jessica Isaacs at the September BKF & TCY PUSH HANDS CHAMPIONSHIP on September 26, at Crescenta Valley Park, LaCrescenta, California, at 1P.M.
