An antiwar poetic verse autobiography written on my 57th birthday. A romantic troubadour martyr who refuses to die.

This is the first of my poetic novels. Previously, I told my stories in lyrics, poems, albums of music, and rock operas, and poetry book collections. But these were shorter, normal ? sized poems. The main poem of this book, "Rainbow In The Shade," is over 10,000 words long.

Rainbow In The Shade is a collection of very long poems that express my contentment, Zen enlightenment, and peace of mind over the past four decades since being kicked out of the USA in 1972. Rather than just telling the stories of my life, these poems ask questions about my righteousness, morality, and ethics. Many people refer to me as, "the happiest person they've ever known," but when you read these stories, you'll wonder how that could be.

Although I've survived sexual liberation, marriages, and being a Mr. Mom, my subconscious is haunting me for answers about "what might have happened if--" and "where is he or she now?"

I hope this book will inspire and titillate your imagination also.
