"The Pauper" was a rock opera being performed by Richard Del Connor, Dann Link, and several drummers during 1977. Ironically, the band just performed under the name, "The Pauper." When The Pauper won the San Diego KPRI Battle of the Bands in 1978, they realized they needed a band name and became, THE RICH. The Rich performed "The Pauper" rock opera. Sounding like Jethro Tull, Mountain, Montrose, and Led Zepellin, Richard Del Connor fronted the band on acoustic guitar, vocals and flute. Having been a bass player for a decade, he also whipped out his Rickenbacker bass to play two double-bass-player songs, "Whore," and "Starliner," with Thor Spangler.

A rock opera. An amazing live performance show in 1984 and 1985. Almost become a movie for New World Pictures. Acclaimed by Michael J. Fox. (He wanted the lead role in the movie too!) Steven Spielberg read the script and said, "This is really great! Send it to Kathleen Kennedy." Soundtrack recorded at Cherokee Studios, This Coyote in a Graveyard rock opera was written up in several Los Angeles newspaper articles. They started referring to Richard Del Connor as "Coyote." Richard's girlfriend started calling him, "Coyote." So... Richard became "The Coyote."

Songs of Coyote's "nomadic life" since divorcing his family in 2011. Working as a stagehand and ditch digger, Coyote has been struggling through this past couple years. Coyote was stung in the neck by a small tan scorpion near the Mexican border while working for a Brad Paisley concert. This motivated him rewrite the screenplay, Kung Fu Cowboy Rock & Roll Movie 1, to include ghosts popping out of his body to do his Kung Fu fighting for him. This album establishes Coyote's first departure from folk rock music. Having vowed to never play acoustic guitar again, Coyote establishes his new sound and new musical styles of rock'n'roll, classic rock, brit rock, instrumental rock, and pop rock. Produced by Richard Del Connor for Shaolin Records. |
