Tujunga, California – November 8, 2007 – Shaolin Records, independent record label and producer of the Folk Rock Podcast of Shaolin Records, began producing and releasing its series of folk rock broadcasts, but lacking the required talent we were contractually bound to wait for.

American Zen was our testing band and launch pad for the Folk Rock Podcast of Shaolin Records. Despite being an exclusive artist of Shaolin Records, American Zen represents the new breed of Folk Rock in California.

The Coyote, of American Zen, continues on several pages of the actZEN.com website.

Coyote talks about his mom and his dad. He points out his similarities and differences as he strives to discover how he is a product of his parents and how individual he is or isn't. Our flute playing hippie mentions being born from "a divine...virgin mother..."

Coyote finally advises, "Be like your parents only how you want to be like your parents."
