Coyote Radio Tujunga

Album reviews of American Zen's first album, Level 1 = Peace Of Mind,
are referring to the music as, "inspiring," "enlightening," "thought provoking," and "spiritual."

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tujunga, California – January 10, 2006 – American Zen, America's first Buddhist rock band, is releasing their first album in 2005, Level 1 = Peace Of Mind. The album consists of 11 songs and 11 recited poems by The Coyote.

COYOTE RADIO TUJUNGA is the album of solo songs recorded by Coyote while taping the Coyote Radio television shows in 2004 and 2005. Our Shaolin Records recording studio is dead.

We learned a valuable lesson about moving computers: let them cool for fifteen minutes before loading them into the car. Evidently, when warmed up, a computer is more sensitive to vibration. Although we didn't drop the computer or bump into anything, when we arrived at the computer repair store to upgrade our iMac, it was dead.

Exploring the interior of our Graphite iMac, we discovered some pieces of insulation from the logic board?

Mark Jenkins has been a Kung Fu student of Master Zhen and is a recording engineer at ATM Studios. So we started having some Tantui classes on Monday nights at ATM Studios and Vic, the owner, gives us the studio for the evening or on another day.

Mark has been helping me adjust to the modern studio world of ProTools digital music. Coming from the old school analog days, I have self-taught myself how to use ProTools. This was my first chance to get some professional feedback and advice.

The first album, LEVEL 1 = PEACE OF MIND, was recorded analog and mixed analog, but masterered in ProTools digital. Since the mastering was the only digital phase and I didn't do the mastering, I have yet to make a digital album.

The album, COYOTE RADIO TUJUNGA, being tracked in digital, soon to be mixed in digital, and then mastered in digital, will probably be my first digital album production.
