When Richard Del Connor became a Pipe Carrier in 1993 he had productive Visions and many illuminating Pipe Ceremonies.  GET THE PRIOR BOOK:  Pipe Carrier, which tells the story of Richard becomin a Pipe Carrier.  Of course, GET THE PRIOR ALBUM:  LEVEL 5 = Pipe Carrier by American Zen.    

In 1993 Chief Richard Swallow gets to know Richard Del Connor.  He empowers him to become a Pipe Carrier, and explains that he has seen Visions of him as a Buddhist Leader.  So instead of recording his adventure to the Pine Ridge Reservation, then to Bear Butte, then to the Medicine Wheel.  Richard Del Connor becomes "Buddha Zhen" (Zhen Shen-Lang, "Spirit Wolf of Truth") becomes a Disciple of Grandmaster Wong Jack Man who fought Bruce Lee in 1964 and with this new Certification also learns "Masonic Kung Fu" that he will discover in 2009 when he becomes a 3rd Degree Freemason at the Burbank Mason Lodge.            

Instead of recording the Vision Quest ALBUM of American Zen, Richard becomes "Buddha Zhen" and composes the album, Tai Chi Magic 1.  The album is produced and recorded in the Shaolin Records Transwest Studio in Salt Lake City, Utah.   Some people call it Chinese Folk Rock.
